Some students who have undergone degree programmes through sandwich at the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (COE), Otto/Ijanikin, Lagos State, have urged the Ministry of Education and the National Universities Commission (NUC) to investigate how institutions are running the programme.

Some of the students who spoke with our reporter on condition of anonymity, said they enrolled for the programme in 2014 and completed it in 2017, but that their results were yet to be out.

The programme is being run at the college in affiliation with the Ekiti State University.

“We graduated since 2017, but up till now nobody has told us anything. Whenever we call our lecturers, they tell us the results are being processed, but we feel this is taking too long. We want the college to come out and tell us what is happening to our results,” one of the students said.

He said graduates from the institution were not given the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate and that nobody had come out to explain anything to them.

But Secretary, Department of Degree Programme, Mrs Lawal, said the results were being processed after which they will forward to Ekiti State University, the institution responsible issuing the certificates.
