Police arrest woman over husband’s death

The Azuka Police Station, Ogbor Hill Aba has arrested one Immaculata Kalu over the death of her husband, Ndubuisi Kalu. The man was said to have slumped and died after he was allegedly pushed down by his wife.
Ogbonna Ike who claimed that he lives at Pepple’s Street, where the incident incident occurred, alleged that the deceased’s wife pushed him during a disagreement.
“We learnt that on the day of the incident, the deceased went out and came back after a while, drunk. The wife who was not happy with his new drinking habit started rebuking him and that angered the man. But while they were arguing, the man was pushed by his wife and he slumped and died,” the witness said.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ezekiel Onyeke Udeviotu confirmed the incident.
Udeviotu said the police are also on the trail of owner of the house where the deceased was residing two other persons.
“We heard that Kalu had a history of epilepsy and there are other things that we need to find out because from what we got, the landlady gave them quit notice and that she ejected them on the day of the incident,” he said.
He added that the deceased who was earning N17, 000.00, took to drinking after he lost his job.
