Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State yesterday commissioned the National Livestock Transformational Plan (NLTP) ranch project at the Gongoshi Grazing Reserve in Mayo Belwa LGA.
The project aims to provide a solution to the persistent farmers-herders clashes by providing herders with 30 hectares with 32 participating households to enable them settle down in one place.
The governor explained that the NLTP would transform the livestock sector and improve agriculture in general, including fishery, forestry, water and soil management.

Governor Fintiri established the State Livestock Transformation Office (SLTO) to align with the activities of NLTP in accordance with his administration’s motto of: “No one is left behind and nothing is left untouched”.
