Over 50 bags of rice and 100 cartons of pasta and noodles were distributed to orphans and widows in Nassarawa local government area of Kano metropolis on Thursday.
Speaking during the exercise, the national president of the group, Engr Abdulkadir Sanusi Jos said the gesture was in line with the humanitarian initiatives of the politician.
He said, “This little we did out of our little contribution as supporters of the distinguished politician is to identify with the underprivileged in their time of need.
“We understand the difficulty the widows and orphans are passing through during this period of Ramadan that is why in line with the humanitarian initiative of the ace politician we decided to distribute these items to alleviate the plight of the poor.
He added, “We are not stopping in Kano, we are also going to do the same in Zamfara and Borno state where we intend to identify with the people evicted from their homes as a result of insurgency and banditry.”
