A woman has been arrested by the police in the Zuba area in the FCT for assaulting her female neighbour and biting off her lip.

In an interaction with City & Crime at the Zuba police station, the victim, Victoria Ujah, said the suspect came to her shop and spit on the rice and beans she displayed.

She said, “I asked her, ‘Mama Joy, what have I done to you that warranted all these things.’ Her response was to call me a witch, old woman, and that she was looking for me for a long time.

“I left her standing in front of my shop and went into my compound to let the matter rest.

“She followed me into the compound, pushed me down, jumped over me and bit off my lower lip before a neighbour rescued me from her grip.”

She further said that while she reported the matter to the police outpost in the community, the suspect went to the Zuba Division where she allegedly had “connection” and filed a complaint against her.

In a related development, our reporter had an encounter with another assault victim, Gloria Moses, at the Zuba police station, who was stabbed on her face and chest by her fellow sex worker.

She explained that the incident happened while she was attempting to separate the suspect with another of their colleagues from fighting during “night hustling” inside their brothel around the Lagos Park area in Zuba.

She said, “She accused me of buying the matter, and in the process she broke a bottle of bear and stabbed me on the face and chest.’’

Policemen at the station prevented our reporter from speaking with the suspects even though one of them was said to have been granted bail.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Zuba, CSP Osor Moses, confirmed the two cases.
