‎Perm Sec, 10 directors absent as Bauchi Head Of Service pays unscheduled visit

Bauchi State Head of Civil Service Alhaji Liman Bello caught some top government officials unawares Friday when he paid unscheduled visits to some government ministries and agencies in the state.

A permanent Secretary and10 other directors in various Bauchi state Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) were absent at their offices when he paid the visit.‎

The Head of Service paid the surprised visit to Establishment and Servicom Matters Bureau, Ministries of Education, Health and the Bauchi State Pension Board.

Bello started his visit with the Establishment and Servicom Matters Bureau where he was taken round some offices by the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Sani Ahmed.

While at the ministry of education, Alhaji Liman Bello expressed dismay as he did not find the Permanent Secretary and most of the directors of the ministry on seat.‎

He said, as teachers who impart moral behaviour into the young ones, they are expected to show good examples in all their activities.

He directed the affected senior civil servants to meet him in his office.

The Head of Service was also at the State Ministry of Health where he warned staff of the Ministry to be punctual and committed to their respective duty.

He said that since coming of the present administration in the state, it was committed to the payment of workers’ salaries as such the civil servants should reciprocate the gesture by reporting to their duty posts as scheduled.

He used the visit to reiterate the commitment of the present administration under Gover Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar towards repositioning the state civil service for optimum result.

According to him, the unscheduled visit will be a continuous one hence the need for all civil servants to brace up and be at their respective places of work in order to enhance productivity.
