The police have arrested one Musa Buhari (25) in connection with the alleged abduction and murder of a commercial motorcycle rider in the state.
The command’s spokesperson, Edafe Bright, said the suspect was arrested when the police was investigating the abduction and murder of the Okada rider, identified as Friday Orumgbe of Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of the state.
He said the victim left home on October 6, 2025, with his Lifan motorcycle and failed to return.
Following intelligence-led efforts, the police arrested Musa Buhari of Alihagu Village, Agbor, and recovered the victim’s phone from him.
According to Bright, the suspect confessed that he and one Manu Usman (now at large) had boarded the victim’s motorcycle under the pretense of being passengers. They lured him into a bush along the Power Line near Oki, Agbor, where they attacked him with a hoe, rendering him unconscious before stealing his motorcycle and phone.
The suspect led the police to the crime scene where the decomposed corpse of the victim was recovered.
He said the suspect is in custody while the investigation is ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect.
