1 Div Garrison emerges winners of inter-brigade competition

The 1 Division Garrison emerged the overall winner of the fitness competition of 1 Division Nigerian Army Headquarters, Kaduna.

The competition also included map reading, weapon handling, swimming and endurance obstacle crossing.

Declaring the competition closed, the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-rufa’i, commended the officers and men of the Division for their commitment in tackling security challenges in the state.

Represented by his Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, the governor urged the soldiers to redouble efforts to rid Nigeria and Kaduna State of all forms of insecurity.

Speaking earlier, the GOC, 1 Division, Major General Faruq Yahaya, said the competition was also designed to put into practice, training acquired in formations and units within the division.
