One person, identified as Samuel Peter, was reportedly killed and over 30 houses were burnt down in a communal crisis involving Otukpo-Ojile and Ochi-Ibadan communities in Ankpa LGA of Kogi State.
Tension was said to have been high for days between the two communities until Tuesday night when the crisis snowballed, leading to the killing of a youth leader in the area and the destruction of properties, including houses and motorcycles.
Daily Trust gathered that besides the death of Samuel, said to be an inhabitant of Otukpo-Ojile, many other residents were reported to have sustained injuries.
