One person has been allegedly killed when some people suspected to be herders invaded ABC Farm in Pampo, Afon Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The incident, Daily Trust learnt, occurred on Saturday and left many of the farm workers injured.

A source said the invaders, in their large numbers, overwhelmed the security at the farm and locked up the workers in the security post.

“I just received an emergency call from the farm that a group of gunmen has overwhelmed the security in the farm and locked up all the workers in ABC Farm security post,” he added.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident.

“It is a case of culpable homicide. One herder was killed by yet to be identified assailants.

“The issue is between herders in the area and some locals but investigation is ongoing,” he added.
