The Kwara State police command said it has launched a manhunt for suspected cultists following a killing incident on Monday night.

The incident which occurred around 8pm in Oja Gbooro, Ilorin East LGA, saw the suspected cultists shooting the victim on his head.

The corpse of the victim has since been deposited at the morgue of the Ilorin General Hospital.

In a statement, the spokesman of the state command, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the commissioner of police, Tuesday Assayomo, had ordered the arrest of the perpetrators.

He said, “An aggressive manhunt for the culprit(s) has commenced. The CP advises parents and guardians to monitor and warn their children and wards as anybody arrested for any act of criminality will be made to suffer the consequences.”
