One person identified as Mr. Daniel was reportedly killed and others injured following alleged attack on farmers by herders in Edo State.

The incident, it was gathered, happened at Ukhun community in Esan West Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that some farmers were going to the farm when suspected men reportedly attacked them in an attempt to kidnap them but they manage to escape

It learnt that the herders later moved to attack other farmers where the deceased wasworking and opened fire on them, killing the deceased on the sport while others escape with injuries their rescue.

When contacted, the state police spokesperson, Moses Yamu, confirmed the incidents.

He said, ‘’Yes, a farmer was reportedly killed by suspected herdsmen in his farm in Ukhun community.

“Additional deployments have been made by the Commissioner of Police, Betty Otimenyin, to go after the perpetrators.’’
