10 arrested as task force raids abandoned houses in Lagos

At least 10 suspected criminals were yesterday arrested in some abandoned premises on Cameron Road in Yaba area of Lagos by officials of the state’s task force.

The suspects are said to be among those carrying out robbery attacks on passersby.

Their arrest followed series of complaints by victims of such attacks to the Chairman of the State Task Force, CSP Shola Jejeloye.

This was even as a butcher on Monday attacked officials of the task force with a knife during a raid on commercial motorcycle operators at the Ejigbo area and injuring one person.

Over 300 motorcycles were impounded at Oko-Oba, Local Airport Road and Abeokuta Expressway where commercial motorcycle operators popularly known as Okada have continued to operate despite the ban on their activities.
