Kolajo while addressing the corps members during their passing-out ceremony at Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Arcade, Akure said, ‘three erring corps members will face disciplinary action and extension of service. Seven will repeat service year out rightly for abscondement.

‘Out of 582 corps members that registered for the 2008 Batch ‘C’ service year in Ondo State, 572 corps members have successfully completed their national service year and will today collect their Certificates of National service’.

She commended the successful corps members, stressing that they displayed high level of commitment in to their fatherland particularly in the Community Development Service.

The State Coordinator berated some corps members’ employers who indulged them in unwholesome acts such as playing truancy at work while some failed to meet up at the welfare facilities and incentives given to their corps members.

Governor Olusegun Mimiko in his address lauded the spirit of the corps members all through the service year even during the moments of daunting challenges and mounting obstacles, urging them to carry the same spirit to the next stage of their lives.

Mimiko who was represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports , Alhaji Yekini Olanipekun admonished the corps members to shun negative tendencies such as violence, drugs addiction, cultism, thuggery, armed robbery and  fraud among others.

According to him, these vices are capable of compromising their future.
