Ten pupils of Lafia Special School (LSS) in Nasarawa State suffering from multiple disorders have received free medical services.

The school which is for pupils with disabilities, received free MRI scanning services from Alliance Hospital, Abuja.

The Head Teacher of the School, Mrs. Baerbel Jaja, said, “Dr. Ata Bor of Alliance Hospital, Abuja, has undertaken free Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) operation for 10 pupils of LSS.

Mrs. Jaja said the results would enable the school and the parents to improve the development programmes of the pupils for a better future.

She said they would monitor the development of the pupils and determine when they would be admitted to conventional schools.

Mrs. Jaja similarly thanked Dr. Ogun Gbo of the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) and the management of Life Bridge Medical Diagnostics Centre, Abuja, for treating her pupils who had cataract and cleft palates free of charge.

She said the school, parents and Government of Nasarawa State were grateful to the hospitals and their staff and hoped that the exercise would be repeated for other pupils.
