Speaking during the pre-training lecturer held in Kano, the state coordinator, NDE Engineer Yakubu Umar Mani said participants were selected from those families that were living below the poverty line. He said the participants would be trained in different fields of their choices aimed at improving the living standards of the families.

Mani said a total of 500 persons selected from 10 local government areas of the state would benefit in the first phase of the programme
