Rescue operation is ongoing at the Salvation Ministry in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, where some worshippers were trapped.
The church building, which was being used for the first time, caved in during a service at about 6pm, on Tuesday, leading to the death of 10 worshippers.
Family members were still searching for their loved ones at the scene of the incident on Wednesday.
Several other worshippers were also said to have been trapped, eight rescued and four persons taken to the Asaba Specialist Hospital.
Our Correspondent reports that over 30 persons were rescued unhurt hours after the collapse.
The Secretary to the State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Ononye Mordi, a team of Red Cross officers and fire fighters were at the scene of incident on a rescue mission.
Worshippers, family members and sympathisers were crying as efforts were on to rescue other victims.
