The police in Lagos State have arrested a 10-year-old boy, Ezekiel Evbota, for allegedly strangling his friend, Israel Ogunleye, to death in the Ejigbo area.

The suspect was said to have fought with the victim over a disagreement while playing football in the Powerline area of Ejigbo.

The state’s police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who noted that the incident happened around 5pm on Good Friday, said, “The boys were playing football on Oluwole Street not far from the victim’s mother’s shop.

“Suddenly there was an argument with Ezekiel Evbota. During the argument, the suspect held the deceased on the neck and strangulated him.

“The corpse has been deposited at the general hospital, Isolo.”
