No fewer than 1,000 residents of Keffi and neighbouring communities have benefited from a free medical outreach organised by the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation in collaboration with the Tukur & Tukur Foundation.
The one-day medical exercise was held at the Primary Health Care Centre, Kofar Fada, Keffi, as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the Emir of Keffi, His Royal Highness Dr. Usman Chindo Yamusa IIl.
Details of the outreach were contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, Chairman of the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, who said the initiative was designed to improve access to quality healthcare for underserved members of the community.
According to the statement, beneficiaries received a range of medical services, including general medical consultations, eye screenings, as well as ear, nose and throat (ENT) diagnosis and treatment.

The services were delivered by qualified medical personnel and volunteers using modern medical equipment and supplies.
A breakdown of beneficiaries showed that over 503 people received general medical consultations, while 250 individuals were screened for eye-related conditions and 175 accessed ENT services.
In addition, 121 pairs of reading glasses were distributed to patients diagnosed with vision impairments.
The outreach also helped identify common health challenges within the community. These included malaria fever, typhoid fever, diarrhoeal diseases, dermatitis, cataracts and other eye disorders, as well as cerumen impaction.
The medical outreach formed a key part of activities celebrating a decade of leadership by the Emir of Keffi, with the organisers noting that the programme reflected his commitment to the health and well-being of his people.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation and the Tukur & Tukur Foundation for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful.
The organisers reaffirmed their commitment to supporting community health initiatives and promoting social welfare across Nigeria.
