Some 1000 residents of Endehu community of Nasarawa Eggon local government area of Nasarawa State have benefited from free medical treatment offered by an NGO, John Friends Healthcare Foundation (JFHF).
Founder of the NGO John Francis who disclosed this yesterday at the commencement of a one-day free medical outreach in Endehu village,
offered free testing, counselling and treatment on hepatitis, B and C, HIV, blood pressure and diabetes, among others.
“The medical outreach was designed to assist poor Nigerians who do not have the means to access medical care, hence the need for the free,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, President, NYSC Anti HIV/Reproductive Community Development Service(CDS) of the area Ihejirika Chukwuma, commended the NGO for sponsoring the programme.
