No fewer than 1,000 young persons across Edo State have been empowered with practical skills, career clarity, and new business opportunities at the Jobberman Career Clinic in Benin.

The clinic organised by Jobberman Nigeria in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation brought together job seekers, entrepreneurs, and career professionals for a day of intensive learning, networking, and opportunity creation.

Speaking during the event,Innih Ikhide, Jobberman’s Head of Youth Engagement & Learning, said said the Career Clinic reinforced Jobberman’s commitment to ensuring young Nigerians have access to the skills, connections, and opportunities they need to build dignified and fulfilling careers.

According to him, the Career Clinic is an opportunity to gain clarity, purpose, and practical strategies for business.

Ikhide said the world of work is changing fast while clarity is no longer a luxury but a necessity

“Life is 10 per cent of what happens to you and 90 per cent how you respond to it. How you position yourself will determine your next level” she said.

Also speaking, the Managing Director, Edo State Skills Development Agency (EdoJobs),Hon. Kerimu Shehu Kelly, noted that through such collaboration, they can jointly reach more young people who need these opportunities.”.

“The government has seen the tremendous efforts of Jobberman, and we would love to collaborate next time to make the event more robust, especially for the marginalised.

in her address, Isimeme Whyte, Founder of Genius Hub, challenged participants to embrace technology, think entrepreneurially, and position themselves as solutions to the problems around them.

One of the participants, Rejoice Aghoghore, a graduate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) who owns an accessories business, said the panel session gave her some clarity on what to do to address her worries and promote her business.
