Eleven persons have died of cholera outbreak in Bali and Gashaka local government areas of Taraba State.
Two hundred other affected persons are on admission at General hospitals in Bali and Serti.
Daily Trust Saturday gathered that Takalafiya village in Bali local government area is worse affected by the outbreak which has spread to Bali town and parts of Gashaka local government area.
Residents of the two local government areas told Daily Trust that the outbreak started last week and has spread to many villages across Bali and Gashaka local government areas.
A resident of Bali, Bello Dauda, said most of the deaths were recorded in Takalafiya where the epidemic started.
He said a medical team from the state ministry of health and health departments are making concerted effort to control the outbreak in the two affected local government and have also embarked on health sensitization.
The state commissioner of Health Dr Innocent Vakkai could not be reached for comment as he did not answer calls or reply to SMS over the outbreak.
