Goethe Institute in collaboration with the Book Buzz Foundation will be selecting 14 artists, cartoonists and illustrators to contribute to a collection of graphic short stories tentatively titled ‘Life in a Big City’. Working in individual styles, each graphic short story is expected to capture the essence of living in, loving and loathing a big Nigerian city.
The four-day workshop which will take place between 4 and 7 January 2017 at the Goethe Institute, Catholic Mission Street, Lagos. It will feature artists between the ages of 18 and 28 years currently resident in Nigeria, have a developed published or unpublished work, a keen interest in drawing and painting, and are creative and willing to commit to creating two graphic stories for the anthology of graphic short stories.
Sebastian Loerscher, German author and artist of ‘Making Friends in Bangalore’ will be the facilitator of the workshop.
