14 persons dragged to court for alleged traffic offences

The police yesterday dragged 14 persons before the Lagos Mobile Court for alleged violation of the state’s traffic laws. The police yesterday dragged 14 persons before the Lagos Mobile Court for alleged violation of the state’s traffic laws.

The accused persons are Oscar Bright King, Ibitoye Olumide, Nicholas Elaeeka, Solomon Anuka, Emmanuel Tochukwu, Onyeka Frank, Tunde Abubakar, Alex Otabor, Moruf Kareem, Akala Gani, Taiwo Bolade, Okechukwu Ebano Uzodu and Tijiani Richard

Also brought before the court were 16 vehicles the police impounded from those who allegedly violated the traffic laws.

The impounded vehicles were four Volkswagen commercial buses, a Hyundai Santa fe registration number KTU 332 BH, a Toyota Sienna bus YAB 31 PP, a Honda Accord saloon car BDG 492 EV, a Nissan bus KTU 832 XR, two Toyota Hiace bus, a Mazda 6 saloon car LSD 729 FW, a Honda Ridgeline, a Toyota  Camry, a Volvo saloon car, a Lexus saloon car KSF 10 FU and a mini commercial bus EKY 170 XV.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said, “The initiative ‘Traffic Must Flow in Lagos’, the clampdown on traffic laws violators, especially vehicles driving against traffic (one way), will be sustained until sanity is restored on our roads. We enjoin all motorists to obey traffic laws at all times.”
