Speaking with newsmen, the Secretary of the Lamingo Golf Club, Nathaniel Lagan, said despite the dry season, the golf course is well prepared for the tournament.
He said the golf tournament has over the years been a window to bring together Nigerians and open offered the state the opportunity to showcase its tourism potentials.
Lagan, therefore, called for more support for the game of golf as he maintained that apart from promoting tourism, it brings peace and unity.
“We are ready to host a hitch-free tournament. Everything that is required to stage a successful tournament is on ground.
“The tournament will observe all the necessary health protocols in line with COVID-19,” he stated.
