The hospital also said nine of the bodies were not identified as neither their names nor any form of trace was known to the hospital. The hospital listed the remaining six identified bodies as those of: Mohammed M. Musa, Celestine Okafor, Victoria Ugo Oluchi, Francis Arinze, Hassan Balami and Hauwa Ali Aji.

The hospital called on members of the public to assist in decongesting the morgue by coming forward to identify the bodies in order to avoid a situation where the bodies were buried without the knowledge of relations and friends of the dead persons.
