15 Kano private schools get award of excellence

Presenting the award to the successful schools, the northern liaison officer for Philbon Consult, Mr Frank Agu, said the gesture was aimed at motivating the schools to further improve on their performance and at the same time to ginger others to do more.
Agu explained that his company had worked in collaboration with the Kano State Ministry of Education to study the performance of each school, visit the schools to further assess them before coming up with the list of successful schools.
According to him, the assessment was based on the academic performance of the schools, most especially in WAEC, NECO and Common Entrance examinations.
The schools so honoured include Iqraa Nursery and Primary, Brain International School, Uncle Sam Group of Schools, Nasara Academy and Al-Furqan Academy.
Others are Al-Islah Group of Schools, Happy Day Academy, Tangaza Nusery and Primary, Arraihan International School and Queen Amina College. Others include Gezawa Nursery and Primary, Horizon Science and Commercial College, Alhassan Usman College, Grange Hill Nusery and Primary and Kano Royal Academy.
