The Police in Edo State have arrested a 16- year-old- suspect, identified as Aisha Suleiman, in connection with the death of five persons in Edo State.
The incident happened at Afashio community in Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area of the state on October 26, when one Emmanuel Elogie (19) and four of his friends, including a female, were found dead in their apartment.
The command’s spokesperson, Moses Yamu, said one Mr Elogie Ezekiel of Afashio community, reported at the Jattu police division that his son and four of his friends including his girlfriend, Ada Samule, were found lifeless in their apartment on October 26.
He said the deceased were evacuated to the hospital where the doctor confirmed them dead.

Yamu said on October 29, the police received information that a girl later identified as Aisha Suleiman, alleged to have caused the death of the deceased with food poison, was about to be lynched by the youths in the community.
He said the police mobilised to the scene, rescued the suspect to the station and transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discrete investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police, Umoru Peter Ozigi, has directed that no stone should be left unturned to ensure that the cause of death of these young people is established,” he said.
