A fresh batch of 163 Nigerians who were stranded in Libya returned home late Thursday, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has said.

The Southwest Coordinator of NEMA, Alhaji Idris Muhammed, received the returnees on behalf of the federal government at the Cargo the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The returnees were brought back by the International Organization for Migration aboard an Al Buraq aircraft.

The coordinator advised the youth to desist from embarking on journeys that would expose them to avoidable risks. He further said NEMA would continue to carry out its responsibility of providing succour for distressed Nigerians.
