Shehu Sani, the senator representing Kaduna Central, has Sani said members of APC will be fingered in the 16 billion power project if the ruling party decides to probe former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had in May 2018 launched a probe on the controversy surrounding the $16 billion allegedly spent on power projects during the administration of former President Obasanjo.
Obasanjo in his response, declared that he was ready for investigation, after President Muhammadu Buhari suggested that funds earmarked for power projects under his tenure were mismanaged.
In a tweet on Saturday, the lawmaker wrote,“The ruling party will put Baba Obasanjo for trial for the“$16 Billion power” project, as they are threatening, they will literally find tonnes of stolen cables, high tension wires and transformers in the houses of some of their members, whom are now inducted into the hall of saints.”
