The Edo State government has presented the staff of office to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Mufutairu lyoha Oare, as the clan head of Anwain, after 18 years of the death of his father, who was the head of the clan.
City & Crime reports that the presentation of staff of office to Oare followed a court ruling, which struck out the case against him instituted by some members of the community in 2006 after the death of his father.
Presenting the staff of office, the Commissioner for Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Monday Osaigbovo, charged the people to join hands with the clan head to bring progress and development to Anwain community in line with the vision, programme and policy of the state government.

Earlier, Alhaji Oare said the presentation of the staff of office to him marks the end of the court battles that have been raging in the clan between him and his adversaries since 2006 after the death of his father.
