Speaking during the closing ceremony of the project on Tuesday in Abuja, she said the essence of the project was to ensure that adolescent girls and boys aged 10 to 19 years, have access to “gender-responsive” adolescent sexual and reproductive health services and rights.
Rahinatu Adamu Hussaini, REACH project director said 100,000 adolescents and young girls in Katsina, Zamfara, and Gombe States were empowered on sexual and reproductive health.
Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire who was represented by the director, family health of the ministry, Dr. Salma Ibrahim Anas said the project had affected young women and girls positively in the areas of child marriage, early childbearing, educational attainment gender-based violence, decisions ability and access/utilization of services and improved sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) knowledge.
