Rt. Hon. Sanusi Garba Rikiji, Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations, has been awarded a Doctorate Degree in Security and Strategic Studies by Nasarawa State University.

The degree was conferred following his completion of academic requirements as part of the institution’s 2022–2026 graduating class.

Rikiji has held various public offices in Nigeria, including Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, a position he occupied for two terms. He also served as Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Commissioner of Finance in Zamfara State, and Special Adviser on Public Private Partnership and Poverty Alleviation. At different times, he chaired the Conference of Northern States Speakers and served in an acting capacity as governor of Zamfara State.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (Business Education) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as well as a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy.

The latest qualification adds to his academic background in areas related to governance, diplomacy, and public administration.
