A 19-year-old boy, Wasiu Sodiq, was yesterday arraigned before the Ikeja magistrate court in Lagos for allegedly conspiring and stealing mobiles phones valued at N415,000.
Sodiq was arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiring and stealing an Infinix Hot 4 phone worth N70,000 and one iPhone valued at N305,000, both items property of Omotosho Abiola.
He was also accused of conspiring and stealing one Infinix Hot 4 phone worth N40,000, property of Olaniyi Olalekan.
The prosecutor, E. Benson, told the court that Sodiq committed the offences along the Abattoir, Oko-Oba Road, Agege, Lagos, on November 4, 2018.
Sodiq, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The presiding magistrate, Mrs Sule Amzat, granted him bail of N200,000, with two sureties who she said must be gainfully employed.
She adjourned the case till January 31, 2019 for mention.
