‎Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primaries in Kano State.

‎Chairman of the electoral committee, Dr John Ayuba, announced that the exercise was conducted in all 44 local government areas and 484 wards of the state.
‎
‎According to the results collated, Atiku secured 155,595 votes, while Mohammed Hayatu-Deen followed with 15,914 votes and Rotimi Amaechi polled 9,994 votes.
‎
‎Dr Ayuba explained that the figures would be transmitted to the party’s National Coalition Centre in Abuja for final ratification and official declaration of the flag bearer.
‎
He urged members of the party to remain united and work towards producing Nigeria’s next president.
‎
‎Meanwhile, the party has suspended the announcement of results for the governorship primaries in Kano pending a decision by the national leadership.
‎
The contest is between Ibrahim Ali Amin Little and Malam Ibrahim Khalil, with the party considering a consensus arrangement to determine its candidate.
