The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has announced that her National Library project generated a total of N25,520,708,074.35 as of December 31, 2025.

The money is part of the effort of the first lady through the Oluremi @65 Education Fund, launched during her birthday in September, 2025, to support the construction of the National Library Complex as her birthday gift to Nigeria.

Ahead of her 65th birthday celebration, the first lady said she would spend her birthday “dedicated to God for all His blessings in my life and having a quiet birthday.”

She appealed for contributions to an account tagged: “Oluremi@65 Education Fund”, coordinated by the Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the first lady in a statement she signed to mark the end of the donation, expressed appreciation to Nigerians, family members, friends and well-wishers who generously supported the Oluremi @65 Education Fund towards the construction of the National Library.

She announced to Nigerians and donors across the globe that the donation account for the Oluremi @65 Education Fund would be shut on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, adding that any further support should be channelled through the ministry.

She said, “As of today, a total of N25,520,708,074.35 has been donated to the Oluremi @65 Education Fund.”
