A total 2,113 operatives have been deployed across Benue for eid-el-kabir.

Uniform officers and plainclothes policemen are in strategic places to forestall trouble throughout the eid, with special attention on eid prayer grounds, recreation centres, shopping malls, motor parks and all vulnerable points across the state in line with the Inspector General of Police (IGP)’s directive.

Police spokesman DSP Moses Yamu said Benue State Commissioner of Police, CP Besan Dapiya Gwana, felicitated with the Muslim Ummah for a peaceful Sallah celebration.

The police spokesman further appealed to the residents of the state to report all suspicious persons or objects to the police through distress call line 08066006475.
