Two men, Abubakar Sanni (22) and Ibrahim Saminu (24), were on Tuesday, docked at an Iyaganku Chief Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing two-goats belonging to their neighbour.
The defendants, who live in the Akinyele area of Ibadan, were charged with conspiracy and theft, the offences they both denied.
They pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Insp Iyabo Oladoyin, said the defendants trespassed on the property of one Mr Tayo Ogunlade with intent to steal.
She alleged that the defendants stole two he-goats worth N200, 000.
Oladoyin said the offence was contrary to Section 383 and punishable under Section 390 (9), 411 and 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs T. G. Daodu admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N500, 000 each, with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the matter until May 29, for hearing. (NAN)
