Two persons, Sule Joy, 32, and Omowumi Temilade, 22, have been arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate Court over alleged theft and breach of peace.

The prosecutor, ASP O. Bamikole, told the court that the defendants allegedly conspired between August 2025 and May 2026 at Dalimore Junction, Ado-Ekiti, to steal the sum of N804,210.

He further alleged that Temilade, on the same date and at the same location, stole an additional N408,610.

According to the prosecutor, the defendants also conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace.

Bamikole said the offences contravened Sections 421, 302 and 181(1)(d) of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.

Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Joy Egbuson, urged the court to admit his clients to bail, assuring that they would not jump bail.

The Magistrate, Mrs. Bamikole Oluwasanmi, granted each defendant bail in the sum of N80,000 with one surety in like sum.

The case was adjourned until July 3, 2026, for hearing.
