The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned two men, Folorunsho Gbenga (30) and Oyewumi Grace (50), in a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over alleged conspiracy and assault.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants, on December 16, 2025, at the Omisanjana area in Ado-Ekiti, unlawfully assaulted a woman, Folakemi Olayinka, by beating her with their fists and causing her injuries contrary to Sections 421, 185, 181(1)(d) of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State of Nigeria 2021.

The counsel to the defendants, Barrister Bewaji Tolulope, urged the court to admit his clients to bail.

The Magistrate, Mr Abayomi Adeosun, granted bail of N50,000 with one surety each in like sum and adjourned to January 26, 2026.
