2 arraigned over drugs in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned two persons, Osatuyi Sunday (28) and Olaniyi Tope (28), in a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti for dealing in Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the suspects, on June 06, in Oye-Ekiti, had in their possession weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.

Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Adunni Olanipekun, urged the court to grant his clients bail.

The Magistrate, Mr. A. O. Owoleso, granted bail of N50,000 with one surety each in like sum and adjourned to August 6, for hearing.
