Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a man, Mr. Arimazoya Abona, after killing his wife in Edo State.
The police said two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The attack occurred on Sunday at Ubuneke-Ivbiaro community, Owan East Local Government Area of the state.
The assailants reportedly stormed the victim’s house around 8 pm, shot his wife in the neck, and took the man, said to be in his 70s, into the bush.

Neighbours were alerted by the gunshot and found the woman’s lifeless body in a pool of blood outside the house.
Sources said the kidnappers accessed the community through the Ivbiaro-Auchi-Ikpeshi forest route.
Police operatives from Afuze Divisional Headquarters and military personnel visited the scene.
According to sources, the kidnappers have contacted the family, demanding a ransom of N100 million.
Village head, Chief Isah Umoru Osikhekhai, appealed for government and security intervention.
Edo State Police Command spokesperson, CSP Moses Yamu, confirmed the incident.
“We have two suspects in custody in connection with the murder and kidnapping. They are Oshomah Momoh, 65, and Saliu Dilisu, 66,” he said.
