The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly sodomizing a 12-year-old boy in Bauchi metropolis.
CSP Ahmed Wakil, the command’s Public Relations Officer, said on July 16, Ibrahim Maikudi filed a formal complaint at the ‘C’ Divisional Headquarters regarding an alleged incident of criminal conspiracy and unnatural offenses.
Wakil explained that Maikudi discovered excrement on his 12-year-old son’s trousers, an observation his wife corroborated, having seen it multiple times.
According to Wakil, upon inquiry, the minor disclosed he had been enticed by three individuals: Lukman Mohammed (30), Musa Halilu (32), and an individual identified only as Alkasim.

He said, ‘’In response to the complaint, detectives were dispatched to the location, and the victim was referred to a specialist hospital in Bauchi for a medical examination. Two suspects have since been apprehended, while the third remains at large.’’
Wakil added that a nearby watchman voluntarily informed the police he had observed one of the suspects, Musa Halilu, pursuing the boy on two separate occasions.
He said the watchman cautioned the boy to maintain distance from the suspects.
He added, ‘’Shortly thereafter, he witnessed the boy approaching the suspects’ residence, intervened, and reprimanded the boy again.
‘’Following this incident, the boy’s mother inquired about the reprimand, to which the watchman provided an explanation. The boy subsequently informed his mother that he had been influenced and lured by the suspects into their dwelling, where he was subjected to anal sexual intercourse.’’
Sani-Omolori Aliyu, the State Commissioner of Police, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to conduct a thorough investigation and arrest the remaining suspect.
