Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) yesterday arrested two suspects for allegedly vandalising cables belonging to Ikeja Power Holding Company of Nigeria.
Items stolen by the suspects are said to be worth N500,000.
The suspects who were paraded yesterday at the command headquarters at Alausa, were identified as 32-year-old Remi Aina and 22-year-old Mayowa Adedoyin, who were apprehended by the anti-vandal team of the command.
According to the NSCDC Lagos State Commander, Tajudeen Balogun, the operatives were able to arrest the suspects with the help of some residents who fed them information.
He said the suspects went to vandalise the cable around 2am when they thought most security agents were sleeping, without knowing that some people saw them.
