The Zamfara Police Command says it has arrested two suspects, allegedly connected with the kidnapping and murder of one Sani Saidu in Guru, Maru Local Government Area.

A statement issued yesterday in Gusau by the command’s spokesman, DSP Muhammad Shehu, said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday at Dansadau area of Maru LGA.

He said the suspects were arrested during an operation by the police which combed the forest and their known hideouts in the area.

He said the suspects were from Malele village of Dansadau.

He said the suspects had on Nov. 26 kidnapped Sa’idu, an indigene of Guru and killed him.

The police spokesman said a locally made gun and motorcycle were recovered from the suspects.

He said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as the command completed its investigation. (NAN)
