The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned two brothers, Bello Hussain (35) and Bello Hassan (35), before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti for alleged conspiracy and assault.

The prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants committed the offense on March 12, 2026, at about 5pm in Ado-Ekiti, where they allegedly assaulted one Daodu Olumide Precious.

ASP Oriyomi stated that the offence is punishable under Sections 422 and 185 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.

Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Olarewaju Okpaleke, urged the court to admit his clients to bail, assuring the magistrate that they would not jump bail.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 each, with one surety in like sum.

The case was adjourned until April 23, for hearing.
