The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned two persons, Olusegun Ayomide Ige (22) and Kamarudeen Gbadamosi (20), before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over allegations of stealing and receiving stolen property.
The prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on March 18, 2026, in Ado-Ekiti, Ige stole a Thermocool generator valued at N450,000, belonging to one Dada Emmanuel Bamidele.
ASP Oriyomi further alleged that Gbadamosi, at the same date and location, received the stolen Thermocool generator, knowing it to be the property of the same complainant.
According to the prosecution, the offences committed are punishable under Sections 302(1)(a) and 343(2)(a) and (b) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
Counsel to the defendants, Barristers Oluwafemi Alabi and Blessing Falaye, urged the court to admit their clients to bail, assuring the magistrate that they would not jump bail.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 each, with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until April 28, 2026, for hearing.
