Two dead bodies have been pulled out of the rubble where a two-storey building collapsed in the Oyingbo area of Lagos.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the development on Tuesday, bringing the number of confirmed fatalities to two.
Also, 26 people were rescued, according to authorities.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency had earlier confirmed that 15 people were rescued while one person was confirmed dead at the time.

The second body was recovered during continued search efforts late Monday night.
The ill-fated building located at 54 Cole Street, near the Cemetery Bus Stop in the Oyingbo area of Lagos, collapsed on Monday morning, trapping an unknown number of people underneath.
Emergency responders, including the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, rushed to the scene to rescue those trapped under the debris.
According to eyewitnesses, the building had been marked as distressed before it collapsed. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the collapse.
The rescued victims have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, with many suffering from injuries sustained during the collapse.
