2 docked for stealing N1m provisions, drinks
Okunade said the offence committed is punishable under Section 390(9), 413(1)
Ekiti State Police command has arraigned two persons, Owoeye Tolu, 18, and Alone Timilehim, 21, before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate Court over alleged shop breaking and theft.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Johnson Okunade, said the defendants and others at large conspired to commit felony to wit: shop breaking and stealing. Inspector Okunade added that on June 22, 2021, in Ado-Ekiti, Owoeye Tolu, Alone Timilehim and others now at large stole provisions of Izuogu Destiny, valued at N1 million.

Okunade said the offence committed is punishable under Section 390(9), 413(1) and 516 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Laws of Ekiti State, Nigeria, 2012. Counsel to the defendants, Barr. Sunday Balogun urged the court to grant his clients bail, promising that they would not jump bail if granted.
The Magistrate, Mr. A.O. Oyebanji, granted bail in the sum ofN150,000 each and one surety with landed property in the magisterial district. He adjourned the case to July 28, 2021, for mention.
