2 held for terrorising Ogun community

The Ogun State-owned security outfit, So-Safe Corps, has arrested two suspects said to be members of a robbery syndicate terrorising Agbara, an industrial community.

The corps’ spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, on Monday, said a patrol team of the So-Safe Corps apprehended the suspects, Isaac Bankole and Agboola Ahmed, on Saturday while they were strategising to rob Sokenu community in Atan.

He said, “In preparation for the deadly robbery attack, the culprits commandeered an Okada rider and instructed him at gun point that he would be with them throughout their operation for easy movement.”

He said, “They have confessed to the crime, noting that their membership of Eye confraternity gave them the effrontery to strike anytime without the fear of any law enforcement agency.”

Items recovered from the suspects are a Bajaj motorbike marked AYE 009 VW, one locally made pistol, two live cartridges, one ATM card, one small Itel phone, one Tecno Spark 7 and charms.
